Accessibility statement

Commitment to accessibility

We aim to make this website as accessible as possible. It should universally be compliant with WCAG 2.0 (Level A) and we are working to make it compliant with WCAG 2.0 (Level AA).

Specific actions

These are the actions we have taken to make this site accessible:

  1. It is built using Joomla! which has its own accessibility statement. Essentially, the core Joomla system produces sites that are compliant with WCAG 1.0 Priority 2 and Section 508 requirement.
  2. We use heading tags to convey structure. H1 represents a higher level in a meaningful hierarchy than H2, and so on.
  3. All images should have ALT tags so that people who cannot view the image can understand what it conveys.
  4. We have chosen colours with sufficient contrast and colour does not convey meaning.

We recognise that ensuring accessibility is a continuous process and if you find any content which is not accessible, please notify us using the contact page.
